The cool people at Dukane ABATE are throwing their 27th annual Toy and Food Run on Sunday October 13th. This is a great opportunity to have some fun with other riders and help out local children.
Now I've been asked to jump on stage and play guitar with the performing band - Shooter. How can I say no to a charity, so I'll do it, however I have no idea what the hell we are going to play since I can't remember a cover song all the way through to save my life... but we'll try.
Here are the details from their flyer.
For obvious safety reasons, Capone and his Rock Mafia Charity Riders are unable to attend rained out events.
In the event of rain prior to an event, Capone's team will call the riders with the cancellation and post the notification to his social media. If rain occurs during a ride, the Rock Mafia will pull out of the ride and head for the nearest shelter or home.
This Saturday is a worthy ride, show your support for our fallen heroes in the Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run. The money raised helps maintain and update the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial in Marseilles, Illinois. Thousands will participate and line the streets for this very cool event.
The start of the run is at the Grundy County Fairgrounds in Morris at 10:30 am and will conclude at the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial in Marseilles.
One of my favorite charity rides of the whole year - The Little Angels Pledge Run. Here we are right after the cruise through Northern Illinois farm land. I'm so burnt I look like a Oompa Loompa, but its worth it.
Always one of the best run rides of the year! Big thanks to all of the crew who helped with this super cool event - The Elgin Area Association of Motorcycle Riders, Woodstock HD, and ALL of the amazing volunteers.
