We have been waiting for this one, and its finally been announced. The Eagles will head out on a North American 40th Anniversary Tour.
The History of the Eagles tour will kick off July 6 in Louisville, Kentucky, and so far, it consists of 11 dates, with things wrapping up July 25 in Bethel, New York. Tickets go on sale Thursday, March 28, at 10 a.m.
I thought I might periodically share some of the rules of rock and roll that I have learned, usually the hard way, over the last several decades. My hope is that young musicians and rockers trying to find their way through the nightmare we conservatively call the music business will find some answers to the problems that seem to constantly arise. Just like musical theory, these rules are meant more as guides than as stead fast laws that must be obeyed.. as becomes very obvious with the most important rule in rock and roll – Rock Rule #1.

Seriously, they have just recorded their hit single Hysteria.. again. You might remember that they have been having some “disagreements” with their record label over the back rights to their catalog, specifically with digital distributions. This is their response – to re-record all of their classic hits so the record company gets NOTHIN. I love it.

First Clapton, then Bob Seger, and now another great classic rock artist has decided to lower the curtain on his touring career – Meatloaf.
What is it about the age of 70 and rock stars wanting to retire? Our man from Michigan, and last year’s inductee into the songwriter’s hall of fame, has announced that he plans on retiring at the age of 70. Bob Seger is 67 years old.
