We all know where Ted Nugent stands on things, it's one of the things I love about this man. So, I won't warn you that the subject of guns, America, the 2nd Amendment, Obama, and Chicago crime, is all addressed. Being a long haired Midwest guitar player, a life long member of the NRA, and citizen of the United States, its not surprising that Ted and I are on the same page.
Thanks to Spinal Tap, there is not a guitarist today who sometimes feels like they must say “Well, this one goes to eleven”. The band that brought us “Big Bottom” and “Stonehenge” might be coming back.
In a recent interview with the Guardian, when asked about reforming Spinal Tap Christopher Guest responded with "We get asked to do shows on a regular basis. But what I will say is that we're in the midst of talking about something for next year…”
What “Something” might be is anybody’s guess – an album, a show, a movie? Who knows?
Certainly creative ideas are not a problem for our boy Slash, he’s writing and recording with his band, finishing up a soundtrack for his new movie, from his new film company, and now they have finally posted a trailer. I mean, does this guy sleep or what?

Most of here in Chicago were disappointed when Eric Clapton announced that he was not going to do the infamous Crossroads Guitar Festival here and instead move it to New York. (Insert sad trombone sound here). As a result, many of us were not able to attend this amazing concert full of legendary musicians. Good News my friend, the Crossroads Guitar Festival movie is coming to theaters!
To many guitarists and rock music fans Eddie Van Halen is the man who "invented" two handed tapping on the guitar. To guitarists who have dug deeper into the instrument, they know that the technique goes much farther back and that EVH simply brought it to the US main stream at the time. Nobody will ever know for sure who "invented" the technique, because it goes further back than can be documented.
